By TW

The great soccer player Zinedine Zidane has finally retired from his amazing soccer career. He officially retired after the 2006 World Cup. He made this decision after his second to last game with soccer club, Real Madrid. Zidane’s eyes exploded into tears after his final game with Real Madrid. He knew how great of a career he had and that would be the last he would play with his teammates at Real Madrid.

Zidane had an amazing career, which included being part of four different teams (First Girondins Bordeaux, then Juventus Turin, then As Cannes, and then his height of his career with Real Madrid). When Real Madrid bought him they had to pay a baffling 66 million dollars. He was awarded with many awards including nine major ones.

Zidane, the athlete, was always trying to improve. He always put forth great effort.  Fellow teammates describe Zidane as “a remarkable teammate and player”. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest soccer players who ever lived.
